Concrete Girder Road Bridge

The bridge is historically inportant, having been designed by John Monash, and built in 1909 by the Reinforced Concrete and Monier Pipe Construction Company. Its length of 121.3 metres, comprised of ten 12.2 metre spans, was long for its time. Until 1987 it carried a major Highway, the Hume, across the Broken River.
